HSE Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with Safety Advisor Registration Scheme (SARS) – compulsory requirement.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective/preventive measures.
• Lead and document safety audits across warehousing and construction operations.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to ISO standards and local regulatory requirements.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for staff and contractors.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with management to strengthen workplace safety culture.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, permits, and certifications.

Qualifications & Skills

• Mandatory: Valid registration under the Safety Advisor Registration Scheme (SARS).
• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in warehousing and construction safety management.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, ISO standards, and local EHS regulations.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to lead safety initiatives and influence cross-functional teams.
