This is paraprofessional human resource management work responsible for employment services and recruitment-related functions assigned to the Department of Transportation. This position provides accurate guidance to managers, employees, applicants and others in all phases of the hiring process; reviews and rates employment applications; prepares recruitment plans; assists with recruitment events and employment outreach endeavors; schedules new hire pre-employment screening; and performs other employment services and recruitment functions.
Paraprofessional human resource work is characterized by the application of human resource laws, rules and regulations, providing technical assistance to employees, applicants and others in standard human resource transactions, human resource services, and maintaining personnel files. Examples of paraprofessional or technical responsibilities typically assigned include, but are not limited to those described in the Essential Functions below.
