Responsibilities
40% Administration of benefit continuation and premium billing and collection for employees on a university approved Leave of Absence including but not limited to medical leave of absence and long-term disability, and faculty and staff on layoff status. Knowledge of policies, research of information, data verification, identification of discrepancies and solutions, and interaction with customers, other departments, and vendors is essential.
40% Responsible for administrative processing including premium auditing upon employee returning to work from leave.
Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Bachelor’s degree and three years of human resources office experience demonstrating knowledge of basic employment laws, exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
Excel spreadsheet skills with experience with v-lookup and pivot tables is preferred, attention to detail, accuracy and ability to follow through independently. PeopleSoft experience is helpful.
Team player with interpersonal, customer service and communication skills. Proven analytic and problem- solving skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Works autonomously and uses sound judgment.
Familiarity with university systems and human resources policies or equivalent.
Salary Range: $23.08 - $25.48 per hour
