Job Summary: Provide office support HR related duties for Kent Moore Cabinets and assists with payroll processing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Conducts benefits enrollment for new employees.
  • Verifies I-9 documentation and completes I-9 forms; tracks and initiates updates as required.
  • Submits online investigation requests and assists with employee background checks.
  • Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs; recommends any corrective action.
  • Answers and screens telephone calls.
  • Assists supervisor with Paycom/payroll issues and/or questions.
  • Updates HR spreadsheets with employee change requests and processes paperwork.
  • Assists with processing terminations.
  • Assists with the preparation of performance review forms.
  • Assists HR Director with various research projects and/or special projects.
  • Assists with the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding process. Including Orientation.
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by HR Director.
  • Schedules meetings and travel as needed.
  • Makes photocopies, faxes documents, and performs other clerical functions.
  • Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Prepares correspondence and processes mail.
  • Prepares new employee files.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

· All other duties as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications:

· BS degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience preferred.

· Proficient Spanish Language and speaking skills preferred.

· Prior experience with data entry, administration, and computer skills is required.

· Prior experience with Paycom is preferred.

· Advanced training or certification in HR preferred.

· Good written and verbal communications skills with attention to detail.

· Knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, Open Office & Power Point.

· Ability to handle stressful situations when they arise and use sound judgment.

· Exceptional attendance.

Essential Functions of the Job:

· Sits for several hours or more per day.

· May stand and walk several hours per day.

· Sometimes lifts and carries heavy objects.

· Bends, stretches, reaches and twists while performing duties of the job.

· Frequently uses fingers to operate telephone, grasp and use writing implements and papers, operate calculator and computer, and perform other job duties.

· Must have correction vision to:

i) Complete forms and other necessary paperwork

ii) Be aware of surroundings and location of items needed

iii) Perform various job duties

· Must have corrected hearing to listen to:

i) needs of customers in person and over the telephone

ii) needs and advice from supervisor and co-workers

iii) the environment to be aware of surroundings

· Must be able to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, and customers, both over the phone and in person.

· Must be alert and able to identify a hazard, should one occur, in order to avoid it, by correcting immediately or reporting immediately as necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
