Job Summary
Greenscape Design Inc., a premier high-end landscape design, installation, and maintenance company serving the Palm Beach area, is seeking a detail-driven and people-focused Human Resources Generalist to support our growing team. This individual will handle the full spectrum of HR operations—from onboarding to compliance to culture-building—while also contributing to event planning, employee engagement, and promotional material creation.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources & Personnel Administration
- Manage the full employee lifecycle: recruiting, onboarding, status changes, promotions, disciplinary actions, and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate personnel files and organize all HR documentation including new hire packets, I-9s, W-4s, background checks, performance reviews, corrective actions, and termination paperwork.
- Assist leadership and managers with employee relations, coaching, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and safety standards.
- Support benefits administration, PTO tracking, workers’ comp claims, and HRIS updates.
Recruitment & Talent Support
- Post job ads, review applications, conduct screening calls, and coordinate interviews.
- Prepare offer letters, schedule orientations, and manage onboarding workflows.
- Maintain active candidate pipelines for field, office, and supervisory roles.
Event Planning & Culture Initiatives
- Plan and execute company events including employee appreciation days, holiday events, team-building activities, training sessions, and cultural initiatives.
- Manage event logistics: vendors, supplies, catering, décor, invitations, and day-of coordination.
- Support recognition programs and initiatives that reinforce Greenscape’s core values.
Promotional Materials & Internal Communications
- Create and order promotional materials, branded items, employee gifts, signage, and flyers.
- Draft and distribute internal communications such as announcements, event invitations, training reminders, and culture messages.
- Collaborate with leadership and marketing partners to ensure brand consistency and high-quality presentation.
Operational & Administrative Support:
- Maintain organized HR systems, spreadsheets, and digital files.
- Support payroll with employee changes, corrections, verifications, and compliance documentation.
- Assist with developing and updating training materials, SOPs, and HR procedures.
- Work closely with the Director of Internal Affairs and leadership on HR projects and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of Human Resources experience required; industry experience in service, construction, or landscape preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience with Canva or similar tools for promotional materials and flyers (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with HRIS/payroll systems is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
Compensation & Schedule:
- Annual Salary: $55,000
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
- On-site position
