Role Overview


We are looking for a full-cycle HR professional who can own the entire Hire Manage Develop Retire employee lifecycle at Digital Nest. You will be the backbone of People Operations for our fast-growing 60+ member EdTech organization and will work closely with Leadership, HR, Trainers, Sales, Finance and Operations.


Roles and Responsibilities


1. Talent Acquisition (HIRE)


  • End-to-end hiring for Sales, Trainers, Marketing, HR, Operations and Leadership roles
  • Create job descriptions, manage postings, shortlisting, interviews and offers
  • Coordinate campus hiring and internship programs
  • Build candidate pipelines for priority roles


2. Onboarding and Documentation


  • Prepare offer letters, appointment letters, NDAs and joining kits
  • Conduct Day-1 orientation and training on internal tools
  • Collect KYC, bank details, PF/ESI forms and required documentation
  • Set up employees in Zoho People, Zoho Payroll and HRMS


3. Payroll, Attendance and Compliance


  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing
  • Oversee leaves, attendance, late coming, overtime and weekly offs
  • Ensure PF, ESI, PT, LWF, TDS compliance and maintain statutory registers
  • Handle payroll reconciliation with Finance
  • Manage insurance, claims and additions/deletions


4. Employee Relations and People Experience


  • Handle daily HR operations, queries and employee support
  • Manage employee engagement: birthdays, R&R, events and team activities
  • Support employees in wellness, health and leave-related matters
  • Build a positive, high-performance, people-first culture


5. Performance Management and KRAs


  • Drive quarterly and half-yearly appraisal cycles
  • Track KRAs, KPIs, sales performance and training progress
  • Support managers with goal-setting and PIP processes
  • Maintain transparent performance documentation


6. Learning, Training and Development


  • Coordinate internal training and upskilling sessions
  • Track employee development and certifications
  • Support leadership development initiatives


7. HR Policies and SOPs


  • Draft, update and maintain HR policies (leave, attendance, payroll, wellness, culture)
  • Ensure clear communication and smooth implementation across teams


8. HRMS, Reporting and Data Management


  • Maintain HR dashboards, MIS reports and monthly HR data
  • Manage employee files, contracts and confidential records
  • Use Zoho People, Zoho Payroll, Zoho Recruit and LeadSquared as needed
  • Conduct monthly HR audits and compliance checks


9. Exit Management (RETIRE)


  • Manage resignations, exit interviews and knowledge transfer
  • Coordinate full and final settlements with Finance
  • Issue relieving and experience letters
  • Conduct attrition analysis and closure feedback


Requirements

Candidate Requirements


  • 3–7 years experience in HR Operations, People Ops or HRBP roles
  • Strong understanding of payroll, attendance, PF/ESI and compliance
  • Excellent communication and people-handling skills
  • Ownership mindset and problem-solving attitude
  • Experience with HRMS tools (Zoho preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced EdTech/startup environment
