Provides leadership, support, advocacy and vision to the HR generalist and HR Data Specialists who provide recruiting support to administrators, principal and supervisors across the Norristown Area School District. The position has the primary responsibility for recruiting efforts, minor labor relations and administration of employee engagement and retention programs in accordance with the organization's mission, values and goals.
This HR Manager is responsible for the support and maintenance of the applicant tracking system and the employee records management system. The HR manager will also work closely with our Benefits coordinator to ensure any leaves are accounted for with coverage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or similar related field.
- Masters Degree preferred
- 3-5 years human resources experience required
- 1-3 years direct human resources management and/or supervision preferred
- Experience with employee relations prefered
- Experience with technology, including extensive experience with Microsoft Office products
- Proven positive experience in providing a high level of customer experience
- Ability to problem solve and use technology to work effectively
- Ability to work independently and make work-related decisions and exercise good judgment in prioritizing tasks
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages recruitment and hiring effort for all personnel including administrative, support and professional employees.
- Ensure appropriate communication with recruitment candidates using online recruitment systems and other appropriate tools.
- Oversee the maintenance of the Human Resources personnel software system and other data management systems ensuring accuracy of records and reports. This includes the oversight of data entry of new hire information and on-going maintenance and updates necessary.
- Conducts second round interviews for support and professional staff
- Create and manage job description database to ensure most up to date information districtwide.
- Supports the new-employee sign up process.
- Tracks compliance to make sure staff are appropriately certified
- Assist Benefits Coordinator with outstanding leaves of absences such as ongoing workman's comp, unpaid leaves , etc.
- Assist as needed with investigating employee issues.
- Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Schedule:
Monday-Friday
8 am- 5 pm ( 1 hr lunch included)
Salary:
$65,000-$70,000 (Prorated)
