Knupp Farms – Swine & Livestock Transportation

Location: On-site
Pay: $27–$30 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift (approx. 45 hours/week)

Since 1977, Knupp Farms has been a family-owned and operated business specializing in swine transportation, livestock hauling from farm to farm, and deliveries to packing plants. We also transport agricultural products using grain trailers and flatbeds. With nearly 50 years of experience, we take pride in our commitment to safety, animal welfare, and dependable service.

We are seeking a Human Resources/Operations Coordinator to support daily HR functions and provide administrative and operational assistance across our farm and transportation teams. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to a well-run, family-focused operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, policy guidance, and general HR inquiries.
  • Assist with recruitment: posting jobs, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and supporting the hiring process.
  • Facilitate new-hire onboarding and training for drivers, farm staff, and administrative employees.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including Driver Qualification Files, training logs, and personnel files.
  • Assist with DOT compliance tasks such as tracking medical cards, MVRs, drug/alcohol testing, annual reviews, and driver certifications.
  • Track and maintain HR metrics and compliance reporting.
  • Support employee policy administration, incident reporting, and return-to-work coordination.
  • Prepare documents, manage data entry, organize files, and support communication tracking.
  • Build positive working relationships with employees, managers, and external partners.
  • Assist with operational or seasonal tasks as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills; able to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate and thorough, even when managing multiple tasks.
  • Organization: Skilled in prioritizing and maintaining structured workflows in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Professional, trustworthy, and able to build positive working relationships.
  • Confidentiality: Able to handle sensitive information appropriately.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • 1–3 years of HR, administrative support, or related experience.
    • Experience in transportation, DOT compliance, or agriculture is highly preferred.
    • QuickBooks experience is a plus.
  • Education:
    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Associate or bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal software systems.

Work Environment

  • On-site office environment with routine interaction with farm and transportation staff.
  • Physical requirements include frequent sitting, standing, walking, and light lifting.
