Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across commercial and residential properties. Candidates should possess excellent technical skills, including reading schematics and working with complex HVAC/R equipment. A valid driver’s license is required for field service operations. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects utilizing construction knowledge, appliance repair skills, and property maintenance expertise.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment such as ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure optimal operation and energy efficiency.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to accurately diagnose issues.
- Conduct service calls for property maintenance involving HVAC, plumbing, and appliance repairs.
- Repair mechanical components using welding techniques or specialized tools like ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics.
- Assist in the installation of HVAC systems in new construction or renovation projects following safety standards and building codes.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed.
- Operate diagnostic tools and equipment repair tools to ensure proper functioning of all systems.
- Support field service operations by traveling to client sites with a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with knowledge of HVAC design and system installation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, boiler operation, and appliance repair.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams related to HVAC/R systems.
- Experience with equipment repair, welding, and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with property maintenance tasks related to air conditioning units, boilers, and other mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters is preferred.
- Construction experience or background in field service operations is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in HVAC/R or mechanical trades are highly desirable.

Pay: $29.39 - $50.00 per hour
