Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced IBDP English Literature teacher to deliver the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) curriculum with excellence. The ideal candidate will inspire critical thinking, literary appreciation, and analytical skills while maintaining the academic standards of the IB framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Learning

  • Deliver engaging and rigorous lessons for IBDP English A: Literature in accordance with IB subject guidelines.
  • Develop unit plans, lesson plans, assessments, and teaching resources aligned with the IBDP curriculum.
  • Prepare students for Internal Assessments (IA), Paper 1, Paper 2, and the HL Essay.
  • Facilitate thoughtful discussions on diverse literary works from various cultural and historical contexts.
  • Guide students in developing strong analytical, interpretive, and writing skills.

Assessment & Evaluation

  • Design formative and summative assessments as per IB requirements.
  • Provide timely feedback and support individualized academic growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for external IB examinations.

IBDP Documentation & Requirements

  • Maintain documentation required for IB evaluations and inspections.
  • Participate in collaborative planning meetings (subject group, DP core meetings).
  • Support TOK integration and contribute to interdisciplinary learning.

Student Support & Mentorship

  • Provide academic guidance and mentorship to IBDP students.
  • Support students with their Extended Essay (EE) if assigned as supervisor.
  • Encourage participation in academic competitions, writing workshops, and literary events.

School & Community Engagement

  • Participate in school events, parent meetings, and professional development programs.
  • Promote a culture of reading, literary exploration, and global-mindedness.
  • Maintain communication with parents regarding student performance and concerns.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in English / Literature / Humanities or related field.
  • IBDP English A: Literature teaching experience is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of the IB philosophy and assessment criteria.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve academic excellence.
  • Collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous professional growth.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
