Import Production Coordinator - Women's Apparel

We are a fast-paced, tight-knit team seeking a highly organized and proactive Import Production Coordinator to support our growing production operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in execution, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.

Role Overview

The Import Production Coordinator will manage the full production lifecycle for assigned categories, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and consistent product quality. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with overseas factories and internal teams.

What You’ll Do

• Manage Full Production Lifecycle: Oversee production from purchase order issuance through final delivery, ensuring products meet quality and retailer expectations.
• Vendor Communication: Partner daily with international vendors to track production status, confirm timelines, and resolve issues quickly.
• Track & Troubleshoot: Monitor WIP and production calendars; identify risks early and implement solutions to keep styles on schedule.
• Maintain Production Accuracy: Manage all production documentation—including POs, tech packs, approvals, BOMs, and shipping schedules—with complete accuracy.
• Quality Assurance: Work with QA partners and factories to ensure garments meet quality standards; review TOPs, PP samples, and resolve defects or discrepancies.
• Cost Management: Review and analyze production costs, negotiate pricing where necessary, and identify opportunities for savings without compromising quality.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, product development, pre-production, and logistics teams to ensure alignment on production deadlines and deliverables.
• Vendor Compliance: Ensure all vendors adhere to company standards in ethics, quality, testing, documentation, and operational compliance.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in import production, apparel manufacturing, or production coordination.
• Strong understanding of garment manufacturing, production timelines, and overseas vendor communication.
• Experience reviewing POs, tech packs, BOMs, PP/TOP approvals, and production specs.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills — clear, professional, and proactive.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with PLM systems is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
