Job Title: Stores In-Charge

Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Stores In-Charge to join our team at GRIT Pbt Ltd, specializing in the manufacturing of Transformers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, handling the management of materials and inventory, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods. The candidate must have experience working with SAP systems and possess strong skills in managing inventory records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Oversee daily inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, returns, and transfers, ensuring accurate stock levels.
- SAP System Management: Maintain and update inventory records in the SAP system. Ensure the proper handling of materials in accordance with company procedures and standards.
- Goods Receipt & Issue: Ensure proper documentation and inspection of materials during the receipt and issuance process.
- Gate Pass Management: Manage and issue gate passes for materials entering or leaving the premises, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained and documentation is accurate.
- Stock Reconciliation: Regularly perform physical inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies with the SAP system to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Storage & Organization: Ensure proper storage of materials, including safe and efficient use of warehouse space. Organize materials in a manner that minimizes damage and facilitates easy access.
- Material Handling: Supervise the loading/unloading of materials and ensure the correct handling and transportation of materials to designated storage areas.
- Reporting: Provide timely and accurate reports on inventory status, discrepancies, and material usage to management.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards in all store operations.
- Team Coordination: Supervise and coordinate the activities of store personnel, ensuring smooth operations and timely handling of inventory requests.
- Transformer Manufacturing Knowledge (Preferred): Experience or knowledge in the manufacturing processes related to transformers will be an advantage, especially in managing specialized components and materials.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing, construction, EPC, or power, environment.
- Proven experience in managing inventory using SAP or other ERP systems.
- Experience with gate pass systems and inventory control.
- Transformer manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and other inventory management software.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
- Certifications: Additional certifications in inventory management or supply chain management are a plus.
