Independent Contractor - Construction

Be your own boss. Just get the job done. We are seeking experienced and reliable Independent Contractors to join our construction team. We provide the support and the jobs. YOU provide the skillset. This role involves executing a variety of construction tasks across different projects, utilizing a broad skill set to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in multiple facets of construction, including carpentry, masonry, roofing, etc. This is a flexible contracting opportunity suited for professionals who excel in diverse construction environments and are committed to delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction tasks such as framing, drywall installation, roofing, masonry, concrete finishing, and flooring installation
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently to complete assigned tasks
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately
• Conduct construction inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations
• Install doors, windows, cabinets, glass, trim carpentry, stucco, caulking, and other finishing components
• Manage demolition, restoration work, heavy equipment operation, and fabrication as needed
• Collaborate with project managers and other contractors to meet project deadlines and quality standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction management, site work, or related fields with demonstrated skills in multiple trades such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, masonry, or roofing
• COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY!
• Proficiency with Bluebeam software is a plus for reading plans and managing project documentation
• Ability to operate heavy machinery and power tools safely
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating procedures and schematics interpretation
• Experience with concrete forming, plastering, framing carpentry, tile laying, welding, or hardscape work is desirable
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of construction work
• Valid <PERSON> license or relevant certifications preferred but not mandatory depending on project requirements
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards

Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
