Job Description & Summary : A career within Advisory line of service at PwC for SAP Practice
Responsibilities:
1) Solution Architecture & Design · Define and own end-to-end SAP architecture spanning S/4HANA (On-Prem or Cloud, Public/Private), SAP BTP, Integration Suite, and key LoBs (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, QM, EWM, TM, IBP, Ariba, SuccessFactors, CX, GRC). · Translate business capabilities into target-state architecture, process maps, and solution roadmaps (incl. brownfield/greenfield paths). · Create solution blueprints, interface catalogs, data models, and RICEFW objects design (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows). 2) Implementation & Governance · Lead fit-gap analysis, process harmonization, and global template design; define localizations (GST/India e-invoicing, e-way bill, etc.). · Govern configuration standards, extensions (in-app, side-by-side on BTP), and custom code remediation. · Drive migration strategy (LTMC/LSMW or modern tools), data quality, and cutover planning. · Define non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, resiliency, availability, observability). 3) Integration & Data · Architect integrations via API/ODATA, IDoc/ALE, RFC, events; design patterns on SAP Integration Suite, CPI, PO, or middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica). · Ensure Master Data governance (MDG), data lineage, data security, and retention policies. · Establish analytics architecture (SAC, DWC, BW/4HANA, CDS views) incl. KPIs and semantic models. 4) Security, Compliance & Risk · Define Authorization/B SoD/GRC models and secure-by-design principles. · Ensure compliance with audit, data privacy, and regulatory (SOX, GDPR, Indian GST) requirements. · Conduct security design reviews and penetration readiness (with InfoSec). 5) Delivery Leadership · Provide technical leadership to functional consultants, developers, and integration teams. · Establish architecture guardrails, design review boards, and DevSecOps practices (transport management, CI/CD pipelines). · Vendor/partner management and effort estimation for projects and enhancements. 6) Stakeholder & Change Management · Collaborate with business owners to prioritize backlog, define acceptance criteria, and ensure adoption. · Create L1–L4 process documentation, training collateral, and transition plans for support.
Mandatory skill sets:
10–15+ years in SAP with at least 5+ years in architecture/lead roles. Deep hands-on across S/4HANA (preferably 2021/2022/2023 or Cloud editions) and at least two end-to-end implementations. Expertise in one or more domains (choose based on your need): · Finance (FI/CO, Group Reporting, Central Finance) · Supply Chain (MM, SD, EWM, TM, GTS, IBP) · Manufacturing (PP/DS, QM, MES integration) · Procurement (Ariba, SLC) · HR (SuccessFactors) · Customer Experience (SAP CX/Emarsys) Strong knowledge of SAP BTP, extensions (CAP, RAP), and Integration Suite. Proficiency in process modeling (BPMN, Event-Driven) and solution documentation (Archimate/UML, SAP Signavio optional). Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and networking/security integrations (SSO, SAML, OAuth). Familiarity with DevOps/Transport pipelines (Azure DevOps/Jenkins), testing frameworks (CBTA, Tricentis), and performance tuning. Excellent stakeholder communication, analytical thinking, and decision-making under ambiguity.
