Primary Role:
The Individual Development Account Success Coach will be responsible for all direct work with IDA/Small Business clients. The IDA Success Coach will work closely with clients to achieve their benchmarks in the IDA success plan, by providing timely and appropriate counseling, intervention, and support, in order to assist each client in successfully completing their success plan goals and objectives. The Success Coach will be cross-trained in the areas of housing/home ownership programs, business development, economic literacy, and social work.
Reports to: Individual Development Account Program Manager
Duties:
Organizational Effectiveness”
Maintains a caseload up to 20 active clients at any one time.
Provides counseling on budget, real estate for small business locations and business lending options with city, county and state wide initiatives, homebuyers’ programs (if applicable), economic literacy, social work, and related areas.
Participates and provides written and oral update to IDA Manager during monthly meetings.
Participates in monthly review with IDA Manager to assure client success plan progress is made.
Maintains working relationships with the clients and provide suggestions and/or recommendations as needed.
Provides bi-monthly contact with clients to monitor IDA success plan progress.
Performs other duties as requested by management
Provides programmatic statistical data to IDA Manager monthly conducive to NC ROMA principles.
Organizational Program Leadership
Assists in the development of the IDA client success plan.
Assists in the review and modification of the IDA client success plan. Assists in the development of the IDA success plan by monitoring, evaluating, and modifying the success plan when needed.
Risk Management
Maintains accurate computerized case files as defined by the program guidelines.
Ambassadorship
Serves as an ambassador for the IDA Program and maintain the integrity of the organizations involved.
Serves as a team player and assists in furthering the mission of the organization.
Qualifications:
Must be experienced in business development, consumer lending/banking or economic development, economic literacy, and/or social work, with a 4-year college degree, and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
Have strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Have experience working with low-income individuals and families.
Must have working knowledge of computer data-entry processes, Microsoft programs, etc.
Expected hours: 36.0 per week
