Job Description:

This position reports to Industrial Engineer Supervisor, and interfaces primarily with the Vistar Industrial Engineer team, but will also interact with key internal business partners. This includes various Operations teams, and various Corporate teams. The Industrial Engineer Intern will gain exposure to the following areas:
  • The big picture / strategy of a Fortune 200 company, specifically how a distribution company operates, and how Industrial Engineering fits in and enables success
  • Candy, snack, and beverage distribution industry (Food/Bev)

Specific Responsibilities include:
  • Engineered Labor Standards, ERP/ELS reporting and data validation
  • Help improve Engineered Labor Standards data collection process and data visualization
  • Leverage Microsoft Power Platform for data collections and visualization

Skills the intern will learn:
  • ELS, including validation
  • Process improvement
  • Data visualization


Qualifications:

  • Must be current student, with a minimum of 3.0 GPA in field of study
  • Must be studying Industrial Engineering, or closely related (Mechanical, System Engineering)
  • Must be available for a 10 week, full-time internship in Englewood June 1 - August 7.
