Role Overview:-

Project / programme management for UAE country, specifically driving and implementing system changes as part of global, regulatory or local initiatives

Resolving system issues by working closely with software engineering and IT teams to prevent business impacts and provide effective problem management to prevent issue reoccurrence
-
Understanding of global and regional business and IT strategies and plans in order to ensure effective consulting is provided to businesses and customer groups
Principal responsibilities:-
The role will be leading Project teams throughout the project life cycle, including setting and controlling project parameters, producing detailed project plans, anticipating resource usage and availability, scheduling for optimum efficiency while maintaining project controls and managing team member contributions. The role will be working with Business leads, Product Owners, Engineering PODs, Architects and peers within the Technology Teams to build/deploy product designs to support new features and offerings. The role will also work with Platform/Domain Leads to achieve target and transitional architectures, grounded in achievable investment and delivery roadmaps, that will evolve our services to be channel-agnostic and underpinned by streamlined data models and modern platforms within the bank.

Initialising governance for the programme in line with the strategic objectives of the technology and data organisations, with a particular focus on improving bank-wide data and technology architecture

Working with diverse delivery teams to plan the programme from start to completion including milestones, risk, issues and dependencies

Supervising IT work stream leads in line with overall programme governance
-
Ensure all programme processes and activities are following established guidelines across the Technology core practices including Portfolio and Programme Management, Architecture and Design, Infrastructure and Engineering

Close collaboration across all Outcome Transformation Leads for clear traceability to IT deliverables, cross programme dependencies, regional impacts, managing blockers and risks.

Attendance and participation in bank-wide programme governance forums

Keep stakeholders informed of progress across deliverables and financials, clearly articulating items for management attention through Working Groups and Steering Committees

Convert requirements into actionable product/service requirements that feed Technology solutions development & influence service direction

Responsible for ensuring solutions are aligned with the platform architecture and roadmap, group standards and policies and the overall enterprise architecture for their function.

Qualifications:-

University degree, ideally a first in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) subject.

5+ years of experience in Managing Technology Projects. Experience in the end-to-end delivery of projects including leading IT integration related initiatives within the Banking industry

Exposed to Core Banking major deployments and upgrades with direct involvement representing business requirements and signoff

Significant knowledge of project management methodologies (i.e Waterfall, Agile…etc)

Proven ability to manage stakeholders including business heads, functional heads and other senior managers

Managing multi-location, multi-Vendor, distributed Teams including task allocation, monitoring, effective communication

Familiarity with project performance monitoring principles and metrics

Good understanding of internationally accepted Project Management Principles, Methodologies and Practices
