IT Support Engineer (Network, Cloud & Communication Infrastructure)

RAK Ports is looking for a skilled and dynamic IT Support Engineer to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional to support a complex and evolving IT environment spanning network, cloud services, infrastructure, and IT security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software and network issues efficiently.
• Support and maintain enterprise networking infrastructure (Cisco routers/switches, WiFi, VPN, SDWAN, MPLS).
• Assist in managing firewalls, hybrid cloud networking (Azure/AWS), and data center systems.
• Maintain Windows Servers, VMware environments, access control, and backup systems.
• Implement and support IT security controls aligned with ISO 27001.
• Support PABX systems (Avaya, Cisco, Unify) and setup of mobile/cloud platforms like Microsoft 365.
• Perform structured cabling (CAT6/7, CAT3, fiber) and maintain IT asset inventories.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in desktop, server, and network support.
• Certifications in CCNA, VMware preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server , VMware , Cisco , and MS Azure Cloud .
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to manage multi-site environments.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
