Infrastructure Network Engineering Draftsman

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Network Engineering Draftsman to produce high-quality technical drawings and design documentation for infrastructure projects, including water networks, sewerage systems, stormwater drainage, roads, and utility networks. The ideal candidate should be proficient in CAD software, understand engineering principles, and work closely with engineers to convert design concepts into precise technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for water distribution, sewerage, stormwater, and other utility networks.
• Draft infrastructure layouts, profiles, sections, and connection details under the guidance of engineers.
• Develop as-built drawings, shop drawings, and design revisions as required.
• Ensure all drawings comply with local codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with civil, MEP, and structural teams to integrate multidisciplinary designs.
• Maintain drawing files, documentation, and revision logs.
• Assist in preparing GIS-based network maps (if required by project).
• Collaborate with engineers for calculations, design reviews, and field adjustments.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or other drafting tools depending on project needs.
• Support engineers in preparing tender drawings, BOQs, and technical submissions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
• 2+ years’ experience in infrastructure or utility network drafting (water, sewer, stormwater).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory) and Civil 3D / MicroStation (preferred).
• Strong understanding of infrastructure design standards, including gravity and pressurized pipeline systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering sketches, survey data, and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, clean drawings.
• Ability to work under deadlines and collaborate in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS).
• Familiarity with hydraulic modeling outputs (EPANET, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS).
• Knowledge of land development and road design workflows.
