Inside Sales & Customer Support Specialist

Job Summary

The Inside Sales & Customer Support Specialist is a vital member of the Castillo Electric Distribution team, ensuring outstanding customer service and efficient warehouse operations. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment, balancing customer-facing sales activities with essential warehouse logistics. From assisting customers to maintaining smooth warehouse logistics, you’ll play an essential role in the success of Castillo Electric Distribution.

Sales & Customer Support:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues via counter, phone, text, email, and other communication channels.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service through the sales counter, phone, text, email, and other communication channels, ensuring a seamless and positive experience across all platforms.
  • Communicate service updates, alerts, or process changes to clients, ensuring transparency and customer satisfaction.
  • Maximize sales and profitability by identifying customer needs, recommending solutions, and closing sales with both existing and new customers.
  • Prepare and send estimates, process customer orders, and ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, etc, providing technical information and guidance to promote trust and repeat business.
  • Proactively develop new business opportunities by making Trust Calls and Warm Calls to potential and existing customers via phone. During downtime, actively engage in cold calling to introduce yourself and Castillo Electric Distribution, with the goal of generating leads and building relationships. Present the company’s services confidently and inquire about any current or upcoming projects where we may be of assistance. Your outreach should focus on creating value, establishing trust, and identifying ways we can support their electrical supply needs.
  • Communicate service updates, alerts, or process changes to clients, ensuring transparency and customer satisfaction.
  • Follow-up on estimates by returning customer calls, responding to customer inquiries and closing the deals.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Work closely with the delivery teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Leads implementation of process and technology improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in handling customer accounts and warehouse operations
  • Contributing to long-term profitability goals in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way.
  • Promoting health and safety in goods handling
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Always aim to maintain a productive workflow. If there are no active sales or customer calls to make, take the initiative to assist in other areas. This may include checking the warehouse for items that need to be reordered, helping clear or enter data in the system, or supporting other team tasks as needed.
  • During scheduled cycle counts or any other store-wide responsibilities, everyone on the team is expected to participate. This includes counting, verifying, and updating inventory, or assisting with any tasks involved in store planning and coordination. Active involvement and teamwork during these efforts are essential to our success.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Min 3 + years of experience in electrical supply, construction, or wholesale distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical products, materials, and tools is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and be able to adjust.
  • Proficiency with POS or ERP systems (Odoo experience a plus).
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused attitude.
