Inside Sales / Customer Service

JOB SUMMARY

The Inside Sales position is responsible for supporting customers and Field Sales by providing product knowledge and ensuring timely responses during the sales cycle. This role allows Cascade to grow our business and strengthen our position in the market.

As an Inside Sales, the role supports multiple external and internal customers, primarily in the North America region. This is an exempt (not eligible for overtime) individual contributor (no direct reports) position, but collaboration and communication between coworkers is paramount. This role requires energy, initiative, and critical thinking to achieve goals. This role works in partnership with Customers, Territory Managers, Manufacturing staff, as well as other department personnel. Externally the position interacts with customers and other outside personnel connected to the selling process.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Work directly with field sales and customers to process all inquiries and orders via phone and email.
  • Provide direct communication with customers regarding applications and product features.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and all Cascade departments as needed to help ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • Recommend products and provide quotations for Cascade products.
  • Enter and verify orders for accuracy as orders are placed, and work with manufacturing to hit expected ship dates.
  • Provide all information on shipped, open, and future orders per requests.
  • Identify customer problems with Cascade products and attachments, and work with the appropriate department to make sure they are resolved.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase job efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform other functions as directed by Department Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, engineering or similar field. Equivalent experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of customer and market requirements, and a passion for total customer satisfaction.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work cohesively with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to cultivate and build strong relationships through phone and email.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Adept at making decisions with sound judgment, quickly and effectively.
  • Two years' + experience in customer service preferred.
  • Knowledge of Cascade products preferred.
  • Knowledge of an industrial manufacturing facility in the transportation or heavy equipment market preferred.
  • Knowledge of lift trucks (mobile hydraulics/lift truck systems) preferred.
  • Written and oral fluency in Spanish a plus.

Work is performed primarily in an office environment that is climate controlled. Periodic work outside the office that may or may not have climate controls could be required. This is a full-time position. Days and hours worked will mirror the business operations which typically runs Monday-Friday. May work more than 8 consecutive hours at a time or more than 40 hours in a seven-day work period depending on work demands. Occasional evening and weekend work might be necessary.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement after the incumbent demonstrates the ability to manage job duties and time commitments effectively. At the time of this posting, the hybrid arrangement allows for remote work up to 40% of the time (2 days per week) and is subject to change at the Company’s discretion.

Travel may be required to other locations, company events, professional development, and industry conferences. Must have access to reliable transportation and must be able to travel via most efficient mode for work related travel i.e., airplane.

The individual may encounter pressure in meeting customer needs, balancing competing deadlines and resource constraints, although guidance is available from co-workers and leaders at the site. Situations must be handled in a manner that meets customer needs and does not negatively impact customer satisfaction.

Pay: $58,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
