Job Title: Lead Inspector/Rewinder

Division & Department: GBS Print Technologies Group, Malvern

Reports To: Production Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

To inspect product for all quality issues, and to make sure it meets the customer requirements. Communicate to the department work assignments, instructions and/or procedure changes as determined by the Production Coordinator.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Rewind product per customer specifications on job order
• Computer punches on GBS computer
• Second quality sign off for press, rewind and shipping as needed.
• Communicate with Scheduler regarding Overruns for Inventory accuracy.
• Organize Work In Process for Rewind
• Maintain accurate inventory of all supplies needed in department. Including, but not limited to items such as cores, bags, tape, and core labels
• Work with Production Supervisor to direct department to meet customer needs, including requests for expedited shipments
• Promote strong work habits and teamwork within department
• Perform root cause/corrective action analysis with Quality Manager when needed
• Responsible for training of new hires
• Coordinate maintenance needs in department with Sr. Maintenance Tech and/or Production Supervisor
• Core label product
• Follow rewind schedule
• Ordering supplies such as cores
• Ink jet numbering on back of label
• Inspect completed product for quality
• Follow procedures and work instructions
• Support the business system and the quality mission statement
• Other duties and projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements)

• Good Written and Oral communication skills
• Detail Oriented
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Leadership skills
• Knowledge and/or experience in flexographic printing
