Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Hospitality Instructor to join our team and deliver hands-on, industry-relevant training in hospitality, culinary arts, and related disciplines. The ideal candidate will have a blend of academic knowledge, practical expertise, and a passion for teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver theoretical and practical lessons in culinary arts, customer service, and hotel operations.
- Instruct students on kitchen safety, food handling, and presentation.
- Guide students through event planning and execution.
- Provide individualized support and mentoring.
- Plan and manage class schedules, kitchen resources, and student assessments.
Prerequisites:
Educational & Professional Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., food safety, front desk operations).
- Solid understanding of culinary techniques, hotel operations, and customer service.
Experience & Expertise:
- Prior experience teaching or training in a hospitality or culinary setting.
- Hands-on industry experience in hotels, restaurants, or event management.
- Proficiency in kitchen management, food presentation, and menu costing.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Patience, approachability, and a passion for teaching.
- Organizational skills to manage lessons, operations, and student progress.
- Creativity in cooking, menu planning, and classroom engagement.
- Ability to work well in a team, manage time, and adapt to changing environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in menu development for commercial or institutional settings.
- Background in managing hospitality events or banquets.
- Knowledge of emerging hospitality trends and technology.
