Job Description

Manav Setu is seeking a highly technical and commercially astute Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Manager to lead our engineering and maintenance operations in Barwa City, Doha. This role is central to our mission of delivering world-class infrastructure and industrial solutions within Qatar’s rapidly evolving landscape.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of control systems—from conceptual design and procurement to site installation and long-term reliability. With a premier monthly salary of QAR 39,000, this role is designed for a leader who can manage complex automation projects while ensuring strict adherence to international safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Department Leadership: Direct the I&C department in the design and implementation of DCS, SCADA, and PLC-based systems.
• Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee technical bid evaluations, vendor selections, and the commissioning of sophisticated instrumentation packages.
• Maintenance & Reliability: Implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies to ensure maximum uptime of critical control infrastructure.
• Budgetary Accountability: Oversee the I&C budget, ensuring all operations remain cost-effective and aligned with the QAR 39,000/month management value structure.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all systems meet Qatar’s regulatory requirements and international functional safety standards (SIL, IEC 61508/61511).
• Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with civil and mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless multi-disciplinary integration on-site at Barwa City and beyond.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering. A Master’s degree or Chartered Engineer status is a plus.
• Experience: 12+ years of experience in I&C engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. Experience within Qatar or the GCC region is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of Fieldbus protocols, control valve sizing, transmitter calibration, and safety instrumented systems (SIS).
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage diverse teams of engineers and technicians in a high-pressure environment.
• Location: Based at our offices in Barwa City, Doha.
