Role Objective

Thermicalenge LLC is seeking an expert Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Manager to lead our engineering and maintenance teams in Mesaieed. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of control systems—from design and installation to maintenance and optimization—ensuring our thermal energy solutions operate at peak efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• System Oversight: Manage and maintain complex control systems, including DCS, PLC (Siemens/Rockwell), and SCADA platforms.
• Technical Leadership: Lead a team of I&C engineers and technicians in the troubleshooting and calibration of field instruments (transmitters, valves, sensors).
• Project Engineering: Oversee the I&C portion of new thermal plant projects, ensuring compliance with international standards (IEC/ISA) and Qatar’s regulatory requirements.
• Asset Management: Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime in high-temperature industrial environments.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all instrumentation systems meet SIL (Safety Integrity Level) requirements and align with company HSE policies.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with global OEMs for spare parts procurement, system upgrades, and specialized technical support.

Candidate Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 10+ years in industrial automation/I&C, with at least 3 years in a managerial or lead role. Experience in thermal systems or oil & gas is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of P&IDs, loop diagrams, and logic flowcharts. Hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV, Honeywell, or Schneider Electric systems.
• Location: Willingness to work in Mesaieed Industrial City.
• Soft Skills: Strong project management abilities and the capacity to lead multicultural technical teams.
