Interior Design Assistant

Booming residential design firm looking for an assistant to help manage current and future projects. We are currently juggling projects with more coming daily! Our projects run from $60K-$1,000,000. From bathroom and kitchen remodels to additions and three new residential 4,000sqft projects!

Looking for help as a project manager for current work load. This may include ordering materials, tracking orders, permitting process, updating plans sets in AutoCad and creating design presentations for client approvals. Contractor will be responsible for:

• Some in-person property and office visits will be required.
• Candidates will need to have own AutoCad software, (revit plus) and access to internet for off-site tasks.
• Be present and conduct in-progress site walkthroughs, project site locations will vary from San Jose to Burlingame.
• Understanding of detail drawings needed for custom fabrication. Ex: tile installation design, cabinetry design, etc.
• Understand basic construction process.
• Knowledge of how to read and understand construction plans.
• Conduct site measures. Comfortable with a measuring tape and creating plans for CAD input.
• Understands basic permitting process.
• Knowledge of how to read and create lighting plans for construction.
• Knowledge basic plumbing plans.

Vendor interface will be a big part of the job. Some on-site work available if applicant is local. Project locations will range from San Jose to San Mateo. Applicant will need to have reliable transportation. We use Asana, Studio designer, In-Design and Harvest to manage our client projects currently. Applicant must be comfortable with the above applications.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
