Duties

• Assist with creating detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using software such as SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Rhinoceros 3D, and AutoCAD
• Support project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with contractors and vendors
• Prepare presentation boards and mood boards utilizing Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite to communicate design concepts effectively
• Collaborate on lighting design projects, including lighting sales, specifications, and integration into overall interior schemes
• Draft construction documents and contracts ensuring accuracy and compliance with client specifications
• Participate in renovation and remodeling projects by assisting with site visits, measurements, and material selections
• Contribute to color theory applications and material selections to enhance aesthetic appeal and functionality

Experience

• Proven experience or internship in interior design or related fields demonstrating proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), or 3ds Max
• Strong knowledge of drafting techniques, color theory, lighting design principles, and construction processes
• Familiarity with project management practices including scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, contractors, and team members
• Knowledge of remodeling processes, renovation standards, and construction documentation is highly desirable
• Experience in sales or lighting sales is a plus for understanding client needs and product specifications
• A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail combined with excellent organizational skills
