Duties
- Assist with creating detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using software such as SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Rhinoceros 3D, and AutoCAD
- Support project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with contractors and vendors
- Prepare presentation boards and mood boards utilizing Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite to communicate design concepts effectively
- Collaborate on lighting design projects, including lighting sales, specifications, and integration into overall interior schemes
- Draft construction documents and contracts ensuring accuracy and compliance with client specifications
- Participate in renovation and remodeling projects by assisting with site visits, measurements, and material selections
- Contribute to color theory applications and material selections to enhance aesthetic appeal and functionality
Experience
- Proven experience or internship in interior design or related fields demonstrating proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), or 3ds Max
- Strong knowledge of drafting techniques, color theory, lighting design principles, and construction processes
- Familiarity with project management practices including scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, contractors, and team members
- Knowledge of remodeling processes, renovation standards, and construction documentation is highly desirable
- Experience in sales or lighting sales is a plus for understanding client needs and product specifications
- A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail combined with excellent organizational skills
