Interior Designer

Job Summary
AD100 and ELLE Décor A-List Interior Design Firm is seeking a professional, organized, self-motivated, and team oriented Interior Designer to join a vibrant and in-demand firm of design professionals at our fast-growing NYC atelier. The ideal candidate is inspired, punctual, flexible, productive, and experienced (3-5 years of residential design is required), with very strong AutoCAD skills. The Interior Designer will assist the Design department and report directly to the Principal Designer while building and developing their design expertise for CDJA. Note: This is *not* a remote position.

Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
• College-level degree in interior design or related field
• 3-5 years minimum of luxury residential design experience
• Highly skilled in AutoCAD and Photoshop
• Experience with new construction design as well as existing structure renovations
• Proficient in MS Office Suite; particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, & PowerPoint
• Must be prompt and utilize strong communication skills when responding to emails
• Adept and familiar with navigating the New York Design Center (200 Lex) and D&D Building, as showroom pickups & returns are a regular need
• Excellent attention to detail and luxury client relationship management skills and service experience
• Willing to learn, adapt, and meet production deadlines
• Must be locally-based (living in the greater NYC area) and available to commute to NYC-based office 5 days/week
• Comfortable utilizing Greater New York and Washington, D.C. public transportation
• Periodic company-paid business travel for both domestic and international clients and partners

Preferred Skills:

• Very Strong AutoCAD Proficiency - all applicants will submit a 30-min, in-person AutoCAD assessment as part of the interview process
• 3D Renderings
• Studio Designer
• Commercial & Hospitality design experience a plus

Responsibilities:

• Assist the firm’s Design department in all aspects; including but not limited to Design Development and FF&E Specifications.
• Prepare for client presentations by creating agendas (as needed), floor plans, elevations, mill-work, and detailed drawings, etc.
• Manage communications with vendors & contractors regarding lead times, quotes, procurement of product, and execution of project.
• Maintain organized material library and workspace.

SALARY: $65,000 - $75,000
