Interior Designer

Key Responsibilities

1. Concept Development

• Develop initial design concepts based on client brief, space requirements, and project objectives.
• Create mood boards, sketches, visual presentations, and storyboards to express design direction.
• Research current trends, materials, technologies, and design innovations.

2. Space Planning & Technical Drawings

• Prepare detailed space plans, layout drawings, and 3D models using tools like NAADI, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar.
• Conduct site surveys, measure spaces, and verify dimensions for accurate planning.
• Ensure all design elements meet building codes, safety standards, and accessibility guidelines.

3. Material & Finish Selection

• Select appropriate materials, textures, furnishings, lighting, accessories, and finishes.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to source materials and samples.
• Evaluate cost-effective design alternatives while maintaining aesthetic and functional quality.

4. Client Engagement & Presentation

• Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and lifestyle requirements.
• Present design concepts, material boards, 3D renders, and detailed proposals.
• Incorporate client feedback and modifications into final design plans.

5. Project Execution & Coordination

• Collaborate with Execution, and procurement teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor onsite progress to ensure designs are executed according to specifications.
• Resolve design challenges and make adjustments during construction or installation phases.
• Oversee installation of furnishings, décor, lighting, and final styling.

6. Budgeting & Documentation

• Develop project budgets, cost estimates, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities).
• Prepare working drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
• Track material usage, vendor costs, and maintain project documentation.

7. Quality, Compliance & Innovation

• Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines (if applicable) and industry standards.
• Stay updated on sustainable and eco-friendly design practices.

Continuously explore innovative solutions in interior design, space utilization, and user experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• J. P. Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
