POSITION SUMMARY

The Intern, Human Resources will support ECRIs Human Resources Department by completing daily tasks and projects across multiple HR disciplines. Duties and areas of responsibility include assisting department team members with project support across all facets of HR, including training and development, recruitment, communications, data analytics, and the employee experience. The Intern, Human Resources is someone who is organized, great with various communication methods (e.g. email, presentations and social media), can handle multiple competing priorities, and can work independently with minimal supervision.

The Intern, Human Resources is a great opportunity for anyone who is looking to jumpstart their career in Human Resources by working with a small dynamic team and supporting multiple facets of the HR function. ECRI will do its best to help tailor some daily responsibilities to areas of interest, but cannot guarantee based on shifting business priorities and needs.

Essential Functions Statements(s):


  • Support ECRIs Human Resources Department by completing daily tasks and projects across multiple HR disciplines. Projects can include, but not limited to:
    • Manage, create, and post content on ECRIs Staff Intranet for all sites managed by Human Resources.
    • Pull a variety of data from Human Resource platforms and create data analytics reports to generate and present insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
    • Create resources that improve various processes inside the Human Resources Department that impact ECRI-at-Large,
    • Support ECRIs performance management and employee growth and development programs, including creating and curating content for 15Five and LinkedIn Learning.

Accountability Metrics:

  • Complete all assignments and projects by the deadline assigned to them.
  • Able to manage multiple projects at one time with competing priorities.
  • Able to communicate efficiently and effectively utilizing multiple communication mediums.

Experience:

  • Prior experience or internship in Human Resources, communications, and / or data analytics is a plus.
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to complete multiple tasks concurrently efficiently while juggling competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with learning and utilizing a wide variety of technology platforms
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience with communicating with internal and external audiences across a wide variety of mediums (e.g. email, presentations and social media).
  • Prior experience working independently with minimal supervision.

Education:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university, preferably in a Human Resources / Organizational Development discipline.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 software applications.

POSITION COMPENSATION

  • The salary range for new employees in this position is $20.00 an hour, based on background, experience, and skills.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    This position operates in a remote environment and requires the individual to remain in a stationary position, whether sitting or standing, before a desk or other fixed workspace, most of their workday. In addition, this position requires the individual to occasionally move about their workspace to access and inspect work-related materials, such as file cabinets with physical files and standard office equipment. This position requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, including, but not limited to, a laptop, keyboard, mouse, webcam, and phone, as well as effectively communicate information and ideas to a wide variety of audiences in written and oral form.
