Dive Into Data: Join Hologic’s Biostatistics Team as a Summer Intern!

Are you ready to turn numbers into stories that matter? Our Biostatistics team at Hologic is made up of data lovers and statistical wizards who help shape the future of healthcare with innovative clinical evidence. As our Summer Intern, you’ll team up with experienced Biostatisticians and Statistical Programmers to help create smoother, smarter ways to manage and clean data—making a real impact on projects that reach people worldwide.

What you’ll be up to during your 10-12 week adventure:

• Team up with statistical programmers to build a new, streamlined process for data cleaning and management.
• Get hands-on with tools like SAS, R, and Python to work your data magic.
• Pitch in on projects that help us deliver reliable, innovative clinical evidence.
• Communicate your findings and ideas with both your team and leaders.
• Learn the ropes of clinical data and see how your work contributes to real-world healthcare solutions.

Who we’re hoping to meet:

• You can work full-time during the summer (May/June - August/September).
• You’re currently working on your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with at least one semester left after the internship.
• Your major is in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, or something similar.
• You’re heading into your senior year or are a graduate student.
• You know how to get your point across, whether you’re writing or speaking.
• You’re comfortable using SAS, R, or Python for data manipulation (bonus points if you can teach us a trick or two!).
• You’ve worked with MS Office apps like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• You love solving problems and aren’t afraid to ask questions.

Location, pay & other important details:

• You can work onsite at our San Diego, CA campus. Heads up: intern housing, relocation, and housing stipends aren’t provided, so you’ll need to have your living situation and transportation sorted out.
• Pay range: $26 - $35 per hour, based on your class standing and operational function.
