Job Description:
The Internal Communications Consultant creates clear, timely, and engaging communication that helps employees understand CSI’s priorities, navigate change, and stay highly engaged with the organization. The role partners across HR to plan and deliver communications that support culture, major initiatives, organizational changes, and M&A integration. This position also manages core communication channels and strengthens the overall employee experience through effective information flow.
Responsibilities
Communication Strategy & Content Development
  • Plan, write, and deliver communication for company initiatives, organizational updates, HR programs, and executive messages.
  • Translate complex information into simple, accessible language while maintaining a consistent voice aligned with CSI’s values and culture.
  • Manage the internal HR communications calendar and maintain a predictable update cadence.
  • Evaluate communication effectiveness and continuously improve how messages reach and impact employees.
  • Work closely with HR leaders to deliver persuasive, energizing communication that mobilizes each functional area.
SharePoint & Channel Management
  • Serve as a SharePoint expert, overseeing structure, permissions, navigation, and content lifecycle.
  • Redesign and optimize pages to ensure an intuitive, employee-friendly experience.
  • Manage communication channels (SharePoint, Viva Engage, intranet, email, etc.) and publishing processes.
  • Maintain governance to ensure content accuracy, accessibility, and consistency.
Change & Integration Communications (Including M&A)
  • Support communication planning and execution for acquisitions, organizational changes, and key HR initiatives.
  • Manage development of FAQs, onboarding materials, employee updates, and other change-support assets for acquired teams.
  • Draft leader messages, talking points, and transition templates that support clarity and alignment during change.
Employee Experience & Culture Communication
  • Lead communication for cultural moments, recognition programs, philanthropy/volunteer initiatives, and other engagement activities.
  • Highlight employee stories, community impact, and key cultural milestones across the company.
Marketing Partnership & Creative Execution
  • Partner with Marketing to ensure communication align with CSI brand standards.
  • Collaborate on design and visual elements for major communication pieces.
  • Coordinate with Marketing on multimedia needs such as video, graphics, and presentations for executive or company-wide communication.
Skills & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of internal communications, HR communications, change communications, or related experience.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Strong SharePoint skills (site design, content structure, permissions, hubs, lists, libraries, governance).
  • Strong PowerPoint and slide deck storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging narratives.
  • Familiarity with Viva Engage or other enterprise social tools (strongly preferred).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills (content calendars, channel planning, etc.).
  • Experience with branding, design collaboration, or multimedia content is a plus.
  • Experience supporting change or M&A communications preferred.
