Intern/Math Instructor

Job Summary

Duties

• Assist in implementing comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across various math disciplines.
• Deliver engaging instruction to students in-person using adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Utilize learning technology tools to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement, including interactive software and data structures applications.
• Provide one-on-one and group support to help students improve their understanding of algebra, geometry, and other advanced topics.
• Manage classroom activities effectively by maintaining a positive learning environment and applying classroom management techniques.
• Track student progress through assessments and feedback sessions; adjust lesson plans accordingly to meet individual learning goals.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives that incorporate current trends.
• Prior experience working with children or students in educational settings such as classrooms or tutoring environments is highly desirable but not required.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics including algebra, geometry.
• Keeping the education areas and the facility clean, sanitized and pristine.
• Proficiency with computer skills and educational technology platforms used for lesson planning and delivery.
• Maintain an orderly educational environment through strong interpersonal communication skills with students, parents, colleagues and administration.
• Experience in specialized scientific areas such as physiology knowledge, anatomy knowledge, biological sciences (microbiology, genetics), is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations including those requiring special accommodations.
• Passion for education combined with excellent communication skills to motivate learners at all levels of understanding.
