Inventory and Production Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory and Production Assistant to join our dynamic supply chain and manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing inventory levels, supporting production planning, and ensuring seamless warehouse operations. Responsibilities

• Assist with inventory control, stock management, and materials handling to ensure accurate stock levels and timely replenishment.
• Support production planning activities by coordinating materials procurement, scheduling, and order fulfillment processes.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms such as AS400 and SAP, and data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau to analyze inventory data and identify trends.
• Conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies or process inefficiencies to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with sourcing teams on supplier management, contract negotiations, and procurement strategies to optimize costs and service levels.
• Participate in demand planning, supply chain analytics, and category management to forecast needs accurately.
• Assist with logistics operations including shipping & receiving, 3PL coordination, heavy lifting, and materials movement within the warehouse.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
• Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools.
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or AS400; familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) is a plus.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives effectively.
• Valid forklift certification and experience with materials handling equipment preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and perform tasks requiring standing or walking for extended periods. Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
