Job Description


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Specialist to support our manufacturing operations through efficient material handling, chemical inventory control, and logistical coordination. This role is essential to ensuring the seamless flow of materials within the facility, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and meeting the operational needs of the production team.


This Job Is For You If


  • You can perform stocking and inventory management of hazardous chemicals and cleanroom/fab consumables.
  • You can receive, inspect, and route incoming materials and chemicals, ensuring accurate documentation and handling.
  • You can monitor and restock Kanban materials based on production usage and requirements.
  • You can collaborate closely with the Procurement Team to maintain accurate inventory levels and avoid production disruptions.
  • You can execute and manage material stock transactions using SAP.
  • You can conduct weekly physical inventory counts and reconcile with system data.
  • You can track material batch expiration dates and coordinate replacements as needed.
  • You can prepare wafers for scrapping and coordinate shipment per company procedures.
  • You can maintain and organize the safety supplies cabinet and ensure adequate stock levels.
  • You can monitor dumpsters and yard space, ensuring old pallets/crates are disposed of appropriately to maximize space.
  • You can provide general support across departments and assist with other duties as required.
  • You can ensure all material handling complies with safety and regulatory standards.


Job Requirements


  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or materials support role.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification required.
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for inventory management preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and maintaining digital inventory records.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends based on business needs.
  • Ability to handle routine inquiries and maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams.


Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of chemical handling and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with Kanban systems and lean inventory practices.
  • Prior experience in a cleanroom or semiconductor manufacturing environment is a plus
