Inventory Coordinator

Position Summary

The Inventory Coordinator will serve as CGC's on-site inventory expert for the Michigan market, supporting daily operations across the service, warehouse, and purchasing teams. This role ensures that technicians have the right parts at the right time, vendor relationships are nurtured, and inventory flow remains accurate , timely , and reliable.

This position is perfect for someone with strong plumbing parts knowledge , vendor experience, and a passion for serving internal teams with excellence.

Key Responsibilities -

Inventory Management & Accuracy

• Serve as the primary inventory expert for Michigan, ensuring stock levels meet demand for both plumbing and water treatment

• Coordinate closely with the warehouse team to execute weekly cycle counts, maintain bin accuracy, and reduce shrinkage

• Monitor par t levels, min/max settings, replenishment needs, and slow-moving items

• Support serialized inventory processes as CGC expands into more serialized equipment tracking

Service Team Support

• Assist service technicians with daily parts requests, questions, and material lookups

• Provide real-time support to ensure technicians can complete jobs efficiently and minimize return visits

• Help identify commonly used parts or patterns that indicate need for stocking changes

Vendor & Purchasing Coordination

• Work closely with vendors to obtain quotes, confirm lead times, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong relationships

• Coordinate with the Purchasing & Inventory Manager for company-wide ordering and vendor negotiations

• Track backorders, RMA processes, warranty parts, and replacement needs

• Help ensure CGC secures the best pricing, availability, and reliability from suppliers

Warehouse Partnership

• Work with the Michigan warehouse team to maintain organized shelving, labeling, and material flow

• Support inbound receiving and ensure parts are checked in accurately and quickly

• Assist with staging materials for upcoming installs or service jobs

• Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements

Cross-Department Collaboration

• Act as a connector between purchasing, service, and warehouse

• Participate in weekly inventory or operations meetings as needed

• Provide insights and recommendations for improving inventory efficiency

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of experience in plumbing supply, inventory, warehouse operations, or related field

• Strong working knowledge of plumbing parts and terminology

• Experience working with vendors and managing part orders

• ServiceTitan experience a plus (or ability to learn quickly)

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced operations environment with shifting priorities
