Job Title: Investigator - AML, Transaction Monitoring

Department: Group Operations

Division: Risk & Control

Reporting To: AVP - AML, Transaction Monitoring

Purpose of Job: Reporting to the AVP - AML Transaction Monitoring, the main responsibilities include supporting AML monitoring activities across the Group, ensuring policies and procedures align with regulatory requirements and applicable laws.

Key Tasks:

• Assist in implementing and monitoring AML frameworks and plans.
• Perform investigations on escalated alerts in AML monitoring systems.
• Review RFI responses received.
• Identify the need to file Suspicious Transactions Reports (STRs).
• Maintain effective relationships with divisions for escalation and risk management.
• Provide compliance advice on AML monitoring matters.
• Stay updated on AML regulations and best practices.
• Respond promptly to compliance clearance requests.
• Execute other duties as assigned.

Authorities: The Bank's Group AML Monitoring Compliance function and other authorities as directed by the MLRO of Group Compliance and HoFCC.

Work Contacts: Daily contact with AVP - AML, Transaction Monitoring and Head of FLOD Compliance Operations via meetings, calls, and emails for progress updates and issue escalation.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Management, Banking, or Finance, with certifications in AML, compliance, or risk management preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in AML, TM Compliance, or Audit within banking.
• Strong understanding of regional and international AML laws and regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.
• Team player capable of meeting deadlines and managing workloads.
• Bilingual in English and Arabic preferred.
• High attention to detail, confidentiality, and integrity.
