JOB
The Investigator position is Grant Funded and is responsible for conducting criminal investigations.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Interviews complainants, witnesses, victims, suspects, and informants in person and by telephone.Obtain statements.Plans court presentations with prosecuting attorney's, presents evidence and information and testifies in judicial proceedings.Serves court papers and subpoenas.Obtains and serves search, criminal and arrest warrants.Develops intelligence resources for use in investigations and participates in undercover
operations.Reviews investigative information, writes and files case reports and supplements and compiles case files.Assists other law enforcement agencies with investigations upon requests; provides information on criminal activity to federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. Maintains assigned vehicle and equipment.Transports inmates and witnesses to and from court proceedings.Attends training session as required.Performs other related duties as assigned.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
