An Investment Banking Managing Director is responsible for originating, structuring, and executing high-value transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital raises, and strategic advisory assignments. The role also includes building and maintaining senior client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and driving revenue and profitability for the business.
Typical responsibilities
- Lead business development and originate new client mandates.
- Maintain and deepen relationships with corporate clients, investors, and referral sources.
- Oversee deal teams and manage transaction execution from pitch to close.
- Review financial analysis, market trends, and strategic recommendations.
- Mentor junior bankers and support team development and succession planning.
Typical requirements
- 10 to 15+ years of investment banking or related experience.
- Strong track record in origination, execution, and closing transactions.
- Excellent client-facing, leadership, and communication skills.
- Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and strategic advisory capability.
- MBA or advanced degree is often preferred, but not always required.
Pay: QAR230.00 - QAR400.00 per hour
