Irrigation Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Irrigation Technician to join our landscape maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining irrigation systems and other landscaping labor . This role requires a strong understanding of horticulture, landscape maintenance, and the use of various hand and power tools. The Irrigation Technician will play a vital part in maintaining healthy, thriving outdoor environments through efficient irrigation practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions within irrigation components.
• Perform maintenance tasks including adjusting sprinkler heads, replacing valves, and programming controllers for efficient water usage.
• Collaborate with landscaping teams to ensure irrigation systems are properly integrated with ongoing lawn care and landscape projects.
• Operate construction equipment safely when necessary for system installation or repairs.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each project or repair.
• Assist with general landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, and other horticultural activities as needed.

Requirements

• MUST HOLD A CURRENT TCEQ LICENSE as a Irrigation Technician or Licensed Irrigator!! Please do not bother applying otherwise.
• At least 3 years experience in the landscaping industry
• Knowledge of horticulture principles and landscape maintenance best practices.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics related to irrigation systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy equipment and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license is required for travel between job sites.
