Responsibilities/Duties
· Assist the Foreman with input regarding planning the priorities for your work day.
· Trouble shoot irrigation systems both conventional and 2-wire systems.
· Make repairs to residential and commercial irrigation systems
· Perform irrigation activation and winterization thoroughly.
· Discuss the assigned jobs at hand and confirm that materials and timelines are established.
· Ensure that all completed jobs are quality checked for discrepancies.
· Ensure that job tickets contain all the necessary detail.
· Assist with customer service to resolve customer issues/problems promptly, politely and effectively.
· Maintain control on Material and Labor costs associated with a job.
· Perform troubleshooting functions as needed.
· Provide input to achieve reduction of costs.
· Conduct oneself in a professional manner, constantly assisting personnel in the development of proper work habits.
· Ensure that you are active, and that waste and non-productive time are kept to a minimum.
· Demonstrate good judgment in solving problems and making decisions.
· Respect and maintain the confidentiality of company, customer, and personnel information.
· Maintain cooperative working relationships with supervisors and other staff members in all departments.

· Maintain an appearance appropriate for the position and situation.

· Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Operations Manager.
Required Skills and Experience
· Install/repair pipe including pvc, copper and poly pipe.
· Ability to evaluate efficient spray coverage and replace nozzles and heads.
· Repair and trouble shoot valve operations.
· Basic understanding of controller operation for traditional and smart controllers.
· Experience with electronic testing devices, including valve locator, two wire tool, remotes etc.
· Electrical troubleshooting low voltage using multimeter, toner and locator
· Install and trouble shoot common irrigation sensors, such as flow sensors, hydrometers and rain sensors.
· Basic understanding of pressure and flow rates and trouble shooting.
· Minimum 2 years' experience as an Irrigation and Technician.
· Possess a valid driver license and be insurable.
· Good communication skills.
· High School diploma or GED.
· Ability to work legally in the United States.
· Honest and reliable attitude.
· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
· Ability to work alone or with very little supervision.
· Team player with the ability to coexist with a team of technicians.
· Detail and accuracy oriented to ensure no information or detail is overlooked.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
