Job Description:
This position reports to an IT leader and interfaces primarily with the Vistar and Corporate IT teams, but will also interact with key internal business partners. The IT Intern will gain exposure to the following areas:
- The big picture / strategy of a Fortune 200 company, specifically how a distribution company operates, and how IT fits in and enables success
- How AI can support business processes
- Candy, snack, and beverage distribution industry (Food/Bev)
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Help develop an AI proof of concept
- Develop AI solution for connecting warehouse information to users via AI conversion of SQL
- Provide insights based on data gathered throughout process
Skills the intern will learn:
- Proof of concept development
- High Jump WMS/business processes
- Agile, SCRUM
Qualifications:
- Must be current student, with a minimum of 3.0 GPA in field of study
- Must be studying computer science, computer programming, information systems, or closely related
- Must be available for a 10 week, full-time internship in Englewood June 1 - August 7.
