IT Manager- Nauru Deployment

About the Role:

Nauru Medical Centre is looking for a highly skilled and proactive IT Manager to oversee all aspects of the hospital’s information technology systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliable network operations, data security, and efficient implementation of healthcare IT systems that support patient care and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain hospital IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and communication systems.
• Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of software and hardware systems.
• Ensure data protection, cybersecurity, and regular system backups.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hospital staff and departments.
• Manage hospital information systems (HIS), electronic medical records (EMR), and other clinical applications.
• Coordinate with vendors for IT procurement, service contracts, and system upgrades.
• Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Plan and execute IT-related training for staff to enhance system usage and efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of IT management experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment.
• Strong knowledge of networking, database management, and cybersecurity principles.
• Experience with hospital information systems or EMR software preferred.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a multicultural environment.
