Key Responsibilities & Knowledge
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP.
- Work with network team to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
- Implement and manage security measures for the network, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.
- Setup printers and photocopiers with defined policy.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Assist in designing network architecture and infrastructure to meet the organization’s requirements.
- Participate in network planning, design, and deployment projects.
- Maintain detailed network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Prepare reports on network performance, issues, and improvements.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals and departments to integrate network infrastructure with other IT systems.
- Provide guidance and support to junior network staff and technicians.
- Participate in training and development programs for network team members.
- Coordinate with external vendors for network hardware and software procurement and support.
- Manage relationships with service providers to ensure optimal performance and support.
- Assist in managing network-related projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Act as a key responder for network emergencies and outages, ensuring quick and effective resolution.

- Maintain up-to-date documentation and reports on network systems.
- Collaborate with IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, protocols, and security.
- Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
- Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Provide support and guidance to junior network staff.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
- Participate in network-related projects and ensure their successful completion.
- Respond promptly to network emergencies and outages.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in network administration or a similar role.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a plus.
