Jim's Pharmacy is now hiring for IT/Project Management. This position is responsible for managing and maintaining computer systems, networks and software, and includes duties such as installing hardware and software, providing technical support for staff, ensuring data security in a healthcare setting and troubleshooting issues that may arise. This person is also responsible for the overall health and security of our organization's infrastructure, which can include everything from on-site individual user support to our overall network system. Create and run weekly and monthly reports needed in several departments utilizing a point-of-sale system, pharmacy system and Excel. Be involved in some advertising needs of the overall store including creating flyers, implement and send promotional/seasonal and email blasts to customers and eventually be trained to help out in other departments if needed. This position requires an individual to be on-site, Mon - Friday, 8am-5pm. Other time frames may be assigned when large IT projects need to be completed.

Core Responsibilities:

  • System and network administration: Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, network printers and document scanners, servers and software.
  • Technical Support: Assist employees with hardware and software system issues that arise in all departments.
  • Security and data management: Implementing security protocols in a healthcare environment, performing data backups, and ensuring data is safe and secure and follows all HIPAA requirements.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving system outages, network problems and other IT-related issues with an IVR system, fax machines, printers, scanners and hand held devices needed in the overall daily operation of Jim's which may include contacting outside companies pertaining to which system needs troubleshooting information.
  • Maintenance and upgrades: Performs routine maintenance, evaluating systems for upgrades and installing new software and hardware.
  • General employee computer assistance.
  • Assist other departments in our bi-annual inventory count and reporting.
  • Some supply ordering.

Education and Experience: Associates Degree preferred. One- two years IT experience. Must be familiar with Windows operating system and networking. Must be efficient in Excel. Must have strong customer service skills and proficient oral and written communication skills. Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines. Must also be accommodating and flexible when emergencies arise while maintaining priorities.

Licensure Requirements: WA State Pharmacy Assistant License is required in order to work on systems in a pharmacy department.

All job applicants must pass a drug screening and background check, be able to utilize ladders to perform job functions and lift 20-30 lbs. EOE.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
