Jewelry Designer & Merchandiser

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Jewelry Designer & Merchandiser to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who can blend creative design talent with strong merchandising instincts and market awareness.

Responsibilities

Design

• Create original jewelry designs across multiple categories (rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets).
• Develop seasonal concepts, trend boards, and product stories aligned with market trends and buyer needs.
• Produce technical drawings/spec sheets for production partners and oversee sampling.
• Manage revisions and quality control for prototypes and final product approvals.
• Ensure all designs meet price point targets and brand aesthetic.

Merchandising

• Build and manage product assortments across collections and seasonal lines.
• Analyze sales data, retailer feedback, and market trends to inform future designs for multiple retail segments.
• Identify assortment gaps and opportunities to maximize sales and margin.
• Prepare line sheets, merchandising decks, and presentations for sales teams and retail buyers.
• Collaborate with production to monitor timelines, inventory levels, and product lifecycle.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with sales, production, operations, and marketing teams.
• Participate in buyer meetings and support custom design requests.
• Ensure timely delivery of all merchandising assets and collection launches.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of jewelry design or jewelry merchandising experience (wholesale experience preferred).
• Strong understanding of jewelry materials, manufacturing methods, and CAD/hand-sketch design.
• Excellent eye for trends, color, form, and commercial viability.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with sales data and assortment planning.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
