Duties
- Review and analyze medical records, charts, and documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Interpret medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care procedures to support legal cases
- Assist attorneys by identifying pertinent medical facts and potential areas of concern within case files
- Summarize complex medical information into clear, concise reports suitable for legal review
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security
- Collaborate with law office staff to organize and manage extensive medical documentation
- Support the preparation of expert witness reports by providing detailed medical insights based on review findings
Qualifications
- Proven experience in critical care nursing, nursing home care, hospital settings such as CCU, CVICU, CTICU, ICU, and Emergency Room (ER) environments
- Paralegal experience or familiarity with legal processes is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical documentation standards and medical records management
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care practices
- Prior experience working with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
- Ability to interpret complex medical records accurately and efficiently
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with legal professionals and healthcare providers

Pay: $75,688.16 - $91,151.33 per year
