Junior Analyst, Portfolio Strategy

Job Summary

My client, a multi-million dollar credit-focused asset manager seeking a dynamic and motivated Junior Analyst reporting to Head of Portfolio Strategies. In this role, you will support the development and execution of strategic investment initiatives by analyzing financial data, assessing market trends, and contributing to portfolio optimization efforts. Duties

• Conduct comprehensive research on market conditions, economic indicators, and industry trends to inform investment decisions.
• Analyze financial statements, valuation models, and other quantitative data to evaluate potential investments.
• Support portfolio management activities by monitoring asset performance and identifying opportunities for diversification or rebalancing.
• Perform risk analysis by assessing exposure levels and developing strategies to mitigate potential losses.
• Utilize financial software tools to compile reports, track key metrics, and visualize data for internal review and decision-making.
• Keep abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices that impact asset management and investment strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced coursework or certifications are a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts such as valuation, risk analysis, and portfolio management principles.
• Proven ability to perform detailed financial analysis using Excel or specialized financial software.
• Knowledge of investment management processes, including asset allocation and research methodologies.
• Excellent quantitative skills with a solid foundation in math and statistical analysis.
• Prior experience in investment banking, asset management, or financial services is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills to clearly articulate findings and support team collaboration.

Pay: $82,118.11 - $98,894.92 per year
