The Role

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and self-driven Junior Architectural Designer to join our dynamic San Francisco team. This position is designed for individuals eager to develop their architectural expertise while contributing meaningfully to innovative, luxury projects from concept through construction.

You will assist in developing architectural concepts, preparing detailed drawings, and supporting project execution. The ideal candidate has strong 2D and 3D software skills, quickly understands design intent, and is ready to take initiative. Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Drafting: Collaborate with senior designers and project teams to develop design concepts and schematic layouts. Prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD and SketchUp.
  • BIM & 3D Modeling: Develop 3D models and visualizations using Revit; actively assist in managing BIM workflows.
  • Detailing & Documentation: Assist in developing interior and exterior architectural details and mechanical system integration. Contribute to drafting technical specifications and construction documentation.
  • Quality Control: Review drawings for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with building codes and drafting standards.
  • Project Support: Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project reviews. Take the initiative to propose solutions and lead small tasks or portions of a project when needed.
  • Deadline Management: Complete assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and with meticulous attention to detail. (Note: Occasional work outside of standard hours or on weekends may be required to meet strict project delivery deadlines).

Qualifications & Core Requirements

  • Education: Professional Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Architecture (minimum 4 years of study).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a residential architectural office.
  • Software Mastery: Strong proficiency in Revit (3D modeling) is required. Must also be highly skilled in AutoCAD and SketchUp (2D/3D drafting). Familiarity with BIM management is highly preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of drafting standards, schematic development, construction documentation processes, building codes, and technical specifications.
  • Design Sensibility: Knowledge of interior design principles, mechanical systems integration, and the ability to create compelling visual presentations, renderings, and diagrams.
  • Soft Skills: Collaborative team player with excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to clearly present ideas within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (No sponsorship available).
