Junior Attorney

*Overview*

We are seeking a motivated , self starter and detail-oriented problem solver Junior Attorney to join our dynamic legal team full time . The position can be as an employee or Independent contractor .

This first or second year attorney job is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in professional licensing defense and criminal law defense . The Junior Attorney will support senior attorney in case preparation, legal research, and client interactions while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The attorney will manage calendars and appear in Court. Excellent legal writing skills a must. Knowledge in Clio , Dropbox helpful. Must have their own transportation to go to Court.

*Duties*

- Managing and maintaining calendaring and all deadlines

-Potential representation of clients in Criminal Court . Conduct thorough legal research to support ongoing cases and provide insights on case strategies.

- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs with precision and clarity.

- Assist in the preparation of cases for trial by organizing evidence and documentation.

- Communicate effectively with clients to gather information and provide updates on case progress.

- Collaborate with senior attorney on various legal matters, ensuring adherence to tribal law regulations where applicable.

- Maintain organized case files and documentation within the law office.

- Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may impact clients' cases.

*Experience*

- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required. Have to have passed the California Bar.

- Previous experience .

- Strong writing skills are essential for drafting legal documents and correspondence.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently .
